At the port

Find your PortMiami terminal

Your boarding documents name the terminal. Find its street address below, then choose the parking garage or drop-off point for that building.

Terminal addresses

Use the cruise terminal address for passenger drop-off. Garages have their own entrances and sometimes a different street number: Norwegian’s Terminal B is at 1761 N Cruise Blvd; Garage B is at 1756.

Make an arrival plan for your terminal

Save three separate details: the passenger terminal, the parking entrance if driving, and the return pickup instructions. A map pin for “PortMiami” is too broad, and the nearest garage by letter is not always the one serving your terminal.

For example, PortMiami associates Terminals F and V with Garage G. Terminal J uses Garages J and K. Use the port’s current parking map alongside your sailing instructions before choosing where to leave the car.

Driving and leaving the car

Set the first destination to passenger drop-off if you plan to unload before parking. Agree where your party will wait, keep everyone’s identification with them, and photograph your garage level and space. If traveling alone, plan how you will move your bags from the garage without relying on another person to watch them.

Arriving by taxi or rideshare

Enter the terminal letter and street address, then confirm the destination with the driver before departure. Let the driver know about large bags or mobility equipment when booking the vehicle. A quote for a standard car is not useful if the whole party cannot fit.

Using a hotel or parking shuttle

Ask whether it serves your terminal directly, when it leaves and what happens if it is full. Count the wait, other stops and unloading time before comparing it with a direct ride. Have a backup ride budget if the last shuttle does not fit your check-in arrangements.

Needing a shorter walk or assistance

Confirm both terminal assistance with your cruise line and a suitable vehicle with your transport provider. They are separate arrangements. Ask specifically about the walk from pickup to the check-in entrance and whether mobility equipment must be folded or can remain occupied.

Work backward from check-in

Your arrival appointment, check-in cutoff and ship departure are different times. Use the cruise line’s instructions for your sailing; the departure time on a listing is not permission to arrive just before then.

  1. Start with the arrival time on your cruise documents.
  2. Allow for unloading, parking or the shuttle’s final stop before reaching the entrance.
  3. Add the transfer provider’s estimate for your actual travel day, plus a margin for disruption.
  4. Set your hotel departure or car pickup time from that calculation.

Plan the return before you sail

Keep return pickup instructions available offline. Confirm the actual disembarkation terminal before summoning a car, and contact your parking operator if it differs from your embarkation terminal. If the driver needs a precise pickup zone, use the signs and instructions there rather than last week’s directions.

From the curb to the ship

  1. Check the building before unloading. Match the ship, terminal and current signs with your boarding instructions. If they disagree, ask terminal staff before handing over bags.
  2. Separate checked bags from essentials. Attach the cruise line’s luggage tags as instructed. Keep original identification and boarding documents with each traveler who needs them.
  3. Complete terminal screening and check-in. Have the booking information available offline. Follow the process for your sailing, including any assistance or family arrangements already confirmed.
  4. Follow the boarding instructions. Do not use a previous cruise’s boarding group or cabin-ready time as a promise for this ship. Keep your small bag manageable while you wait.

If you arrive well before your appointment, ask staff where to wait and whether bag acceptance is open. PortMiami does not provide luggage-storage lockers, so early arrival is not automatically a way to leave bags and spend the morning sightseeing.

A different terminal or a rental car on return

PortMiami provides inter-terminal shuttle service when a ship departs from one terminal and returns to another. Confirm the actual arrival building and the arrangement for reaching your car. An independently booked parking lot or driver may have its own pickup procedure, so notify that provider too.

There are no rental-car agencies on the port itself. Some rental offices provide a shuttle, but confirm the branch, service hours and pickup point on your reservation. Compare the time to reach the office, collect the car and return it later with simply booking the rides you need.

Terminal G construction

PortMiami’s terminal directory lists the new Terminal G project for 2027. Check the port’s current signs and your cruise line’s messages for construction-related routing changes.
